Will the coming months bring any noteworthy product line
Rogers: Since the launch of HEX was so successful, Harper Corpora-
tion of America will continue to listen to customers’ feedback on these
new products. In many cases, we have customized the product for a
customer’s specific need. As always, R&D is critical to Harper Corpo-
ration of America and we are always testing new engravings every day.
How can flexographers become better educated on the benefits and
most effective use of the tools and services you offer?
Rogers: Our Harper Graphics Solutions Division offers custom and
industry proven continuing education courses on flexography, the role
of an anilox, the care and maintenance of anilox rolls, and other valu-
able components of the flexo system and their relationship to quality
Harper Corporation of America has also created the Harper Video
Channel. This can be found on our website and provides instructional
videos on many of our products, and can be useful training tools for
anilox cleaning, proofing and correlating.
Do you have any plans to stage workshops, seminars, open houses
or other events that may be pertinent for printers/converters in
Rogers: Harper Corporation of America offers the world’s only
WalkingSeminar, a customized technical session on anilox technology
where customers can get solutions to specific problems and tour our
state of the art manufacturing facility. Our Advanced Surface Tech-
nologies Center is the world’s most modern and unique anilox roll
engraving facility and features the latest technology in computerized
plasma flame spray and laser engraving equipment. WalkingSeminars
are offered at our Charlotte, NC and DePere, WI locations.
Harper Corporation of America also takes our educational approach
on the road. Each year, Harper provides regional Road Shows across
the U.S. These free one day seminars feature presentations from
leaders throughout the industry on a wide range of topics aimed at
helping flexographic businesses to
run as efficiently and competitive as
possible. The event touches on many
facets of the flexographic industry,
making it a valuable learning expe-
rience for everyone from prepress,
print managers, supervisors, graphic designers, ink and plate suppli-
ers, operators and purchasing personnel.

Rogers: Harper Corporation of America is proud to be the pioneering
