Do you have any significant new product introductions planned in
MacDermid: MacDermid plans on aggressively developing and
launching products in all arenas of the flexo market in 2015. In
addition to the recently launched coating plates, 2015 can expect to
see innovative new products for the corrugated, flexible packaging
and narrow web markets alike. Continued innovation in flat top dots
remains MacDermid’s core area of strength and resource, with an
emphasis on providing its customers with the ability to choose their
preferred method of flat top generation. MacDermid’s innovation
methodology is based on providing choices and options to its custom-
ers, rather than merely dictating the pathway they should tread.
Will the coming months bring any noteworthy product line
MacDermid: MacDermid will continue to expand upon the existing
industry changing LUX platform with new products within the
Lamination and ITP families. In addition, ongoing developments to
MacDermid’s LAVA thermal processing technologies will continue to
supply value to current and future customers. The M System platform
of liquid photopolymers will continue to see heavy investment.
How can flexographers become better educated on the benefits and
most effective use of the tools and services you offer?
MacDermid: The absolute best way to become better educated about
MacDermid’s tools and services is to speak with a MacDermid sales
consultant or a technical service consultant. But if flexographers
prefer to research MacDermid’s products and services without engag-
ing a live person, the MacDermid Printing Solutions website, www.
macdermid.com/printing, is a great place to start. The website features
product demonstration videos, technical tips, white papers and press
releases on the latest product introductions.
Do you have any plans to stage workshops, seminars open houses
or other events that may be pertinent for printers/converters in
2015? What? When? Where?
MacDermid: MacDermid plans to conduct several webinars in 2015
that will be timed alongside new product launches. MacDermid will
announce the topics throughout the year as it continues to provide the
industry with the most up to date information on new technology.
Why should INFO*FLEX 2015 delegates plan to network at your
booth? What can they learn? What will you emphasize that can
help make them better printers?
MacDermid: As a technology leader in flexographic printing plates,
MacDermid is continually developing new products and product
extensions that help package printers print better. Taking the time to
meet with the MacDermid team at INFO*FLEX 2015 will more than
likely result in finding a solution that could help you print better.
What industry events will you participate in during 2015? How
and why should flexographers make a point to see your team on
MacDermid: In 2015, MacDermid will be an exhibiting sponsor
at FTA’s Forum and INFO*FLEX, the FPPA Annual Meeting and
at EskoWorld’s PartnerZone. MacDermid will also be exhibiting at
