Do you have any significant new product introductions planned in
Mark Andy: Mark Andy will continue to roll out the hybrid flexo
and digital inkjet printing platform launched in late 2014—the Mark
Andy Digital Series. As mentioned, the only other print technology
that is growing with flexo is digital. The hybrid design of the Digital
Series integrates not only flexo and digital ink jet, but also all the other
decoration, die cutting and finishing capabilities, in a single, inline,
manageable platform. This platform was extremely well received at
Labelexpo Americas and the level of sales inquiries confirms that a
crossover or hybrid platform will be in high demand next year and
for years to come. To support this digital growth there may be some
additional opportunities in offline finishing f rom our Rotoflex brand
making their way to the market.
Will the coming months bring any noteworthy product line
Mark Andy: Our company will continue to develop its award winning
Performance Series press platform to reach larger segments of narrow
web printers, expanding their access to this productive technolo-
gy. We will also focus further on our mid web flexible packaging
offering—Versa Max—to ensure faster changeovers and enhanced
lamination capabilities in an inline platform.
How can flexographers become better educated on the benefits and
most effective use of the tools and services you offer?
Mark Andy: Information is available 24/7 for all our products and
services at our websites: www.markandy.com and www.rotoflex.com.
Mark Andy also has an extensive video library documenting a variety
of press and rewinder demonstrations on our dedicated YouTube
channel at www.youtube.com/markandyflexo.
For a more structured education on Mark Andy equipment and
philosophies, Mark Andy University offers a wide range of courses
designed to specifically maximize three primary topics: print training
and press usage, maintenance training for Mark Andy equipment and
lean manufacturing in the pressroom.
Do you have any plans to stage workshops, seminars open houses
or other events that may be pertinent for printers/converters in
2015? What? When? Where?
Mark Andy: Mark Andy hosted a very successful open house in 2014
and is working on a schedule for dedicated Mark Andy events for
2015. There will be more to come as we finalize dates!
Why should INFO*FLEX 2015 delegates plan to network at your
booth? What can they learn? What will you emphasize that can
help make them better printers?
Mark Andy: Mark Andy is dedicated to being a total solutions
partner for narrow and mid web flexo converters. At INFO*FLEX
2015, visitors will be able to learn more about what that means. We
have worked diligently to create a focused organization that provides
support from the most advanced flexographic printing and finishing
technology to robust service, support and training programs to a full
line of pressroom supplies and consumables. Mark Andy is a forward
thinking company dedicated to every aspect of its customers’ success.
What industry events will you participate in during 2015? How

Please provide a brief history citing significant developments and
product introductions made by your firm and comment on their
impact to flexo?
As the company that brought inline flexo to the label marketplace,
we are certainly proud of our more than 65 year history of industry
defining technologies. From the game changing Quick Change print
deck of the 2200 model in the 1970s to the past five years, where Mark
Andy has been awarded multiple technical innovation awards, Mark
Andy is certainly well known for developing what we call Business Re-
sponsive Technology. From the Performance Series equipment line to
ProLED UV LED curing system to QCDC (Quick Change Die Cut)
inline converting, we remain laser focused on industry changing in-
novations. This recent line of achievements only shows the deep com-
mitment we have to supporting flexo printers by providing solutions
and tools that impact their businesses and workflow processes. n
