FTA TODAY Provides Increased ROI By Melinda Schroepfer hen the economy temporarily slows, many operations and division managers as well as HR personnel react by reigning in their training and education budgets. While this immediate decision might seem financially prudent, the long range consequences of letting employee training fall by the wayside could prove costly when the economy is back on track, customers are begging for high-quality product, and highly skilled employees are in demand. So, how can a company continue to garner business in a competitive mar- ket, maintain a reasonable training budget and cycle, and ef- fectively manage future growth training needs all at the same time? FTA’s TEST (Technical Education Services Team) has the answers. W For immediate training needs in a tight economy, TEST has already provided many companies with a variety of affordable online training options that allow their employees to receive high quality, industry-specific training without the travel, ac- commodation, and time-off-press costs normally associated with on-site training. Through the Virtual Campus, TEST cur- rently offers both self-paced and instructor-lead FTA authored Flexo Skills Certification I and II, a variety of affordable self- paced OSHA and safety training courses, and numerous afford- able self-paced Microsoft, communication, and professional development courses.
