..II\-- \"... e ' What is II: TEST? TEST is a joint effort between the FFTA and complying educational institutions to expand tech- nical skills required by a continually advancing flexographic process, bringing state-of-the-art professional development solutions to the flexographic industry. . TEST Technical Tidbit: Each month TEST will feature a technical tidbit from one of our part- ners.lfyou have a question you would like to be put to TEST send it to: firstname.lastname@example.org Dea r TEST, We are a large flexible packaging printer located in the Midwest and are constantly recruiting new employees for both entry-level and technical positions. Many years ago, we had the opportunity to host internships for a local college that offered flexography as a course of study, but as of late the program no longer exists. Many of the interns that we hosted in the past are now leaders within our organization; we found that, as they began their employment, they had the skill sets we were looking for. Could you recommend a college or university located in the Midwest that we could contact to begin hosting interns again? Thank You! Dear Mr. Flexible Packaging Printer, You raise a very good question and we at the FFTA are happy to hear of your success. Over the years, the FFTA has taken pride in supporting the educational intuitions throughout North America that offer flexography as part of their curriculum. I believe I speak for most-if not all-of the instructors in saying they would be happy to work with you. A complete listing of the colleges and universities can be found on our website at . http://www.flexography.org/edutrain/education/csites.cfm We recommend you con- tact the lead instructors directly, as all of them offer slightly different intern programs throughout the school year and into the summer months. In addition, I would personally like to invite you to visit our Education Pavilion, Recep- tion and the Phoenix Challenge College Competition at this year's Forum in Orlando, FL. Many of the schools that you will find on our website will have students in attendance and participating in these events. The students are also instructed to have résumés on hand to visit with industry leaders like you. II. .. TEST .... Founding Sponsors Ron&Katherine Harper <lJHARPE
