FLEXO Magazine : February 2010
14 FLEXO FEBRUARY 2010 www.flexography.org Flexographic printers/ converters across North America are counting down to Foundation of FTA's 2010 Forum and INFO*FLEX Exhibi- tion. Themed, "Experience Forum Twenty-Ten: The Premium Package," show planners have gone to great lengths to ensure that year's event will be unique, while still delivering the level of quality technical information that the flexo industry has come to expect. Forum Chair Jean Engelke and Vice Chair Mark Coffman assembled a team of knowledgeable and connected industry professionals to act as session chairs. These men and women, in turn recruited some of the most prominent minds in flexographic printing and graphic arts. In addition, attendees can expect to hear the Voice of the Customer throughout the entire event, as not only have CPCs been recruited to speak in various sessions, but also because representatives are expected to turn out en masse to listen, learn and network along- side their printer/converter partners. FLEXO recently took the time to sit down with Engelke and Coffman to discuss the contents, format and other added-value changes to Forum 2010. Q: How did you settle on the Forum theme? What does it mean to you? Engelke: This year's theme came from a combination of sources. A comment from one of last year 's surveys high- lighted that the FTA and Forum are not an event, they are an experience---an experience that educates membership in flexo technology, that brings the industry together to a dynamic presentation of emerging trends, opportunity and dialog, and culminates with the largest single gathering of What's New at Forum 2010? • Larger CPC Presence. • All sessions consecutive (instead of concurrent). • Free FIRST Operator training course. • Lunch served on INFO*FLEX show floor.
