Home Living : March 23rd 2010
HLF - HOME LIVING: NORTH WEST, Tuesday, March 23, 2010 1 HOMELIVING ............................................ INSIDE EASTER TREAT Cool calorie-free treasures SMART WAYS Saving with safety switches KITCHEN MAKEOVER Seniors do it their way BE READY Get your home in order An Easter makeover Janita Singh An Easter makeover It's that time of year again to hop and be happy. Easter brings bunnies and eggs in every colour and flavour. Easter has its roots in many traditions from many parts of the globe and is celebrated in as many ways. But one thing is for sure: it's this holiday we all look forward to. Easter can also mean a time to spruce up our homes, buy something new for the family, work on the garden or just bring all the colours back home or add something warm in time for winter. There are many things you can buy apart from traditional Easter eggs, but don't forget to think green and clean. Landfills get clogged with festive offerings. You can help cut down on the waste by composting what you can. Composting is a great, free way to reuse organic matter such as flowers, leaves, grass cuttings and table scraps while creating rich soil for gardens and lawns. There can also be a second life for all those wrappers, lolly boxes and foil you use this Easter. So recycle them. 1300 364 290 The Trusted Outdoor Additions Specialist PERGOLAS DECKS OPENING ROOFS CARPORTS www.pergolaland.com.au Visit our Showroom N 0
