In another nod to linking FTA’s print offerings with its presentations, Bob Cockeril, Schawk Inc. and Louis St. Amand, McCain Foods transformed the Presentation Theater into the CPC Insight Theater as they detailed the redesign, re-engineering and repackaging of McCain Foods entire product line (see FLEXO May 2010, page 10). In the process they introduced printer partners Rock Tenn and Starflex, stressed brand color management and detailed how it can be achieved across processes—offset and flexo. Their recurring message: “It’s all good.” AwArds & AccolAdes A total of 154 Excellence in Flexography Awards were an- nounced at Sunday night’s banquet where nearly every seat was filled. Best of Show award presentations were made to nine firms. President’s Awards went to: Shawn Oetjen and Kent Esby of Dunwoody College of Technology; Michelle Donohue, Global Packaging; and David Nieman, All Printing Resources. Distinguished Service Awards were presented to Gary Hilliard, Hood Packaging; David Straten, Advance Packaging; Matt Moffett, The Meyers Printing Companies; and Mike Ferrari, Procter & Gamble. All were recognized for contributions to the association made during their tenure on the Boards of Directors/Trustees. Scholastic achievements of 13 students were also heralded and recognized by either a Rossini Scholarship or FTA Schol- arship. And, similarly, a student team from Clemson University was recognized for having designed and constructed the INFO*FLEX 2010 Educational Booth of the Year.
