A Legacy in Labels Plants & Processes Fulwiler receives lifetime achievement award As a young man, he dreamed of building rockets, putting men on the moon and contributing to the great Space Race. But NASA’s loss turned out to be the flexo and label printing industry ’s gain. Terry Fulwiler, whose father founded Wiscon- sin Label Corp., applied his knowledge and ambition to help the company reach for the stars in its own way. WS Packaging was formed in Oct. 2000 with the merger of Wisconsin Label Corp. and Superior Label Systems Inc. The merger made WS Packaging one of the top privately owned label and tag manufacturers in the U.S . Today, WS Packag- ing Group operates 17 manufacturing facilities and produces high-quality packaging products for customers ranging in size from small businesses to large, and high-volume manu- facturers and consumer product goods companies doing business locally, nationally and in marketplaces worldwide. The company has more than 1,770 employees. At Labelexpo America’s 2010 Label Industry Global Awards ceremony, near Chicago, IL , Fulwiler will go down in the annals of label history as he receives the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in transforming WS Packaging Group into in the label printing titan it is today. In WS Packaging Acquisitions • Label Art Inc.
