FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINT DEPARTMENT MANAGER The individual selected for this key role will act as the primary liaison with the Graphics Technical staff concerning operation print capability versus graphics requests. Responsibilities include the resolution of gaps between customers’ requests and graphic capabilities; increasing the efficiency, quality and cost performance of the department; participates in company planning through budget preparation, capital expenditure recommendation, labor and space forecasting; creating a safe working environment; driving performance of salaried and hourly departmental employees; ensures effective staffing including employee relations and preparation of schedules; develops and maintains effective training; ensures that proper safety procedures are in place and followed. Other responsibilities include serving as our in-house expert on all aspects of printing including, but not limited to; print registration, line trap, screen and process print, printer maintenance and upkeep, product movement and staffing; and coordinates work of outside vendors. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of education; and five or more years experience in Flexographic printing process (including Flexographic inks) resulting in a high skill and knowledge level. Additionally the selected individual must possess excellent communication, organizational, leadership, time management, people, and mechanical, math and computer skills in order to succeed.
