Cyrel Color reproduction As part of its customer training pro- gram, DuPont Imaging Technologies recently held the second of its Color Reproduction for Flexography seminars at its Customer Training Center (CTC) in Wilmington, DE on June 5 and 6. Mark Mazur, digital prepress consultant, offered a series of presentations for an audience that included printers/converters, prepress providers and even FTA staff. Mazur began with an explanation of how the human eye perceives color, and how that affects basic color theory. He then led seminar participants through essentials of color separation and color management. Attendees were given the chance to generate a proof and conduct hands-on color separation and color man- agement. The seminar concluded with a presentation on the G7 method of control- ling color and results from FTA’s efforts to adapt the process to flexographic printing. DuPont will continue to host various seminars throughout the year as part of its customer training program. A complete schedule of remaining courses follows.
