26 Improving the Environmental Impact of Printing Inks An assessment on the level of sustainability in current ink market offerings will be given. The presentation will include a discussion of the available raw materials having a high degree of sustainability. Topics discussed will be development efforts toward more sustainable inks, novel raw materials for inks that have higher sustainability, new approaches to employ traditional, renewable ink raw materials, and the use of traditional ink raw materials in applications employing new sustainable packaging materials.
