DuPont Packaging Graphics’ New Cyrel® Brand Campaign Focuses on Higher Quality at High Speed WILMINGTON, DE: DuPont Packaging Graphics has launched a new cam- paign to promote and further differentiate its leading DuPontTM Cyrel® brand flexographic systems offerings for the packaging graphics industry. The new brand campaign will focus on the company ’s commitment to deliver higher qual- ity at high speed, and illustrate the concept with high-impact photography in key communications components including a new website design, print and online advertising, and in a dramatic display at the upcoming drupa 2012 trade fair, to be held May 3 – 16 in Düsseldorf, Germany. “ It was time to take a fresh approach to renew and strengthen our message,” said Edward Baiden, global marketing manager, DuPont Packaging Graphics. “ Some of our research indicated that people were not as well aware of the key strengths of the Cyrel® offerings as we would like, and we feel this campaign much more clearly communicates the value Cyrel® delivers in terms of higher quality and high speed.” Featuring the tag line, “Look Closer! For higher quality at high speed,” the campaign will convey that DuPontTM Cyrel® flexographic systems offer excellent quality and very short turn-around times from design to final package, providing the highest system value. ContiTech, HELL Plan Close Collaboration in Flexographic Printing KIEL, GERMANY: ContiTech Elas- tomer Coatings and HELL Gravure Systems announced plans to cooperate in the areas of development and appli- cation engineering. The aim is to further boost the advantages of direct-engrav- able flexographic printing plates and establish a sustained foothold in the growing flexographic printing market. “ T he flexographic printing market has responded very enthusiastically to our products. We intend to cash in on the response so as to make inroads into this segment,” says Dr. Thomas Perkov- ic, head of the printing blanket segment at ContiTech Elastomer Coatings. HELL’s areas of competence are in systems solutions for printing plate pro- duction. In the matter of just a decade, HELL made a name for itself in the flexographic market as a technological trendsetter in the direct engraving of elastomer printing plates. Its Premium- Flexo products for laser direct engraving and PremiumLine range for the automat- ic production line exemplify this. “Harmonizing material and machine further raises the level of economic efficiency and quality,” declares Dr. Jörg Pohé, general manager of HELL Gravure Systems. “ In terms of material composition and reduced plate wear, the newly developed Conti®Laserline CSX/CSC printing plates are perfectly geared to high resolution direct engraving technology,” notes Armin Senne, flexographic printing busi- ness manager at ContiTech Elastomer Coatings. Optimized for the respective requirements of laser direct engraving, the printing plates are supplied in rolls with widths of up to 2100 mm, lengths up to 30 m and a range of thicknesses.
