Exhibitor's Showcase Enercon Industries Corporation, Menomonee Falls, WI USA www.enerconind.com/treating (262) 255-6070 email@example.com Pattern Corona Treating O ers Flexibility for Flexographic Printers Corona treatment is widely used by exographic printers to control surface energy for successful ink adhesion. In most cases, treating the entire width of the web is required. However applications requiring selective treatment are becoming more popular. Printing Stand-up Pouches Stand-up pouches are made up of non-porous barrier lms which require treatment prior to printing. However, corona treatment requirements for this application are unique. It is important to not corona treat the heat seal portion of the pouch. If the heat seal section runs across the width of the web direction a skip treat controller is used. e controller automatically turns the corona treater on and o at precise times to create treated and untreated areas of the web. If the heat seal areas are in lanes then a segmented treater is used. Segmented treaters allow the printer to select lanes of treatment. Pattern corona treating is more complex, but can be accomplished with a combination of skip treatment & lane treatment. is provides complete exibility over the areas of the web which require treatment. To learn more about pattern corona treating please contact Enercon's application experts. ey can help you determine which solution is right for you & o er a free trial run in our surface treating laboratory. Lane Treatment is achieved with segmented electrodes & may be combined with skip treating for pattern treating. ADVERTORIAL Turrets such as the 344FP can produce 2 - 3 times more than conventional winders. Precise tension control and slit separation control help regulate roll quality. Leading Slitter Rewinder Performance Catbridge Machinery designs and manufactures durable, innovative slitter rewinders that maximize productivity. The Model 344FP dual turret, for example, outproduces conventional winders by 200-300% or more in some applications. The revolutionary new Model 324FP turret greatly simpli es exible packaging converting while also reducing downtime between sets to less than 30 seconds. Other models, such as the Model 902 duplex center winder, offer exceptional versatility. Innovative Technologies Unique Catbridge technologies signi cantly improve performance. These innovations eliminate or shorten downtime in key areas of slitter rewinder operations, provide superior roll formation, and reduce waste. Technologies include automatic knife and core placement, fully automatic cutoff and transfer, precise tension and slit separation control, operating speed advancements, and a variety of robust loading and unloading systems. Machinery Optimized for Individual Needs Catbridge has extensive experience building converting machinery for a wide range of applications and materials, including a variety of lms and laminations. To optimize performance, all machines are tailored to individual customer needs. Catbridge can also provide as much customization as necessary, from a unique added feature to a ground-up solution.
