Within the envelope category, two compa- nies came out as the cream of the crop. Tension Envelope had a remarkable showing, garnering five medals including two gold and one silver. But, in the envelope world, it was En- core Envelopes Ltd. that owned the moment. With seven total awards, including a “Best of Show,” three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal, there was no mistaking which company best matched creativity and technology. And quality was not the only thing on display—degree of difficulty was an integral part of the voting process. “T he competition was tight this year. In year’s past, you used to see elite converters stand alone... not so much any- more!” said judge Mike Taylor. “ T he quality of work that is now being produced is incredible when realizing the instability of some of the substrates in use,” he continued.
