MB HLN - HOME LIVING: NORTH, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 1 Inside BRIGHT, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL MOWING DOWN PERFECT LAWNS DON'T IGNORE SMALL REPAIRS IF YOU CAN STAND HEAT GET IN TO THE KITCHEN Janita Singh The kitchen is the most important room in the house. POSSIBILITIES Lack of space should not limit the big possibilities offered by a great kitchen. There are many clever ways to find somewhere to put everything you need and have lots of storage even if space is limited. In a small kitchen design, good storage means making the most of that tucked away space by using overhead space for cupboards, buying appliances which are small and compact and using smart colours to give a feeling of openness. Simple benchtops work best. And any designs which hide everything in cupboards and store things out of sight will make a small kitchen look much more spacious. Use all the space in the pantry. There are a variety of options for internal cupboard storage, including drawers and shelves that slide out. KITCHENS A well-designed kitchen ma- kes life so much easier and raises the value of your home. If you're looking at re- modelling, renovating or simply putting in a whole new kitchen, it pays to do some research. Get the family in- volved: Ask every member what they would like in the kitchen, what their frus- trations are with the space and changes they would like to see. Money matters: Work- ing out a budget should be one of the first things you do. Do you have the skills to DIY or do you need pro- fessional help? Do you want to tackle the whole project at once or work in stages? Are you ready to recycle some existing materials and re-use or is this a complete knock-down and rebuild project? Determine design: Once you know how every- one feels, work out what will best suit the space you have allocated. Kitchens are as individual as people. There is a design out there to suit your needs and budget, from single wall designs to U-shapes and L-shapes. supershades.com.au 9938 4377 Showroom 1/9 Powells Rd Brookvale email@example.com Installation Free Protecting you from over exposure Master Builders Association HIA Member Builders Lic: 93536C Visit our Showroom: 361 Pennant Hills Road Pennant Hills NSW 2120 CORNER OF GEORGE STREET Call us: For FREE measure and quote 1300 361 390 View our Website: www.pergolaland.com.au FREE QUOTES: PERGOLAS DECKS OPENING ROOFS CUSTOMISED dŚĞ d ĞĚ K ĚŽŽ ĚĚŝ ŽŶ ^ Ğ ŝĂůŝ HIA MASTER BUILDERS ASSOCIATION AUSTRAL IA NEW SOU TH WA LES L IBERTYPROCESS STAB IL ITY FIRST INCORPORATED 1873 Generate Your Own Electricity and Save!
