Plate mounting has never been easier. By simply cleaning the sleeve surface, the tackiness is re-activated and ready to hold the next set of plates, saving you lots of time and money. Twinlock sleeves have a permanent adhesion and compressibility. Different durometers and high accuracy will bring you top-quality printing. The Polymount sleeve does not only bring you more efficiency in the mounting room, it also brings you very consistent printing quality. The high quality Polyurethane foam does not wear out. Hundreds of flexo printers worldwide have adopted the self-adhesive sleeve in their daily production. The Polymount self-adhesive sleeve also offers award winning print quality. Last year’s “FTA Best of show award” was printed on Twinlock sleeves. Not only is Twinlock good for your bottom line, it is also a very sustainable solution and takes very good care of the environment at the same time. 110-110011[advertentie]def.indd 1 18-12-2011 13:17:23 High Speed Proofing Mimaki will unveil its new high-gap UV-LED flatbed print- er in Hall 9, Stand C-21. Delegates will also see the high- speed, high-quality JV400LX series, which uses environ- mentally friendly latex ink, including the world’s first white latex ink. Also on show will be the JV400SUV series, which combines the flexibility of solvent printing with the durability of UV-curing inks. Both systems employ Mimaki’s easy-to- use RIP, RasterLink6, which enables three ink layers in one pass with white and color inks. And they offer outstanding print speed without compromising quality. The systems can print up to 18.1 m2/h, while a minimum dot size of 4 picoli- ters and the ability to use variable-sized ink dots ensures smooth gradation without a grainy appearance. The advanced system opens up new opportunities by enabling print houses to print on a wider range of sub- strates. Other benefits include a new white ink circulation system that prevents pigment sedimentation, and a nozzle recovery function that temporarily restores print quality if a maintenance issue should arise. Plus it enhances print service providers’ green credentials thanks to its small en- vironmental footprint and long-life, low power consumption. The new High Gap (HG) version can print up to 15cm- high objects, making it ideal for the promotional, trophy and commercial proofing markets. It offers multiple ink combinations like six-colors plus white and clear, but also an automatic priming feature, allowing it to retain the look and feel of the substrates, while equally reducing time spent on manual priming and waste. Other Mimaki UV flatbed printers on view at drupa are the UJF-3042FX and the wide format flatbed range, the Mi- maki JFX series. The UJF-3042FX prints directly on materials up to 5 cm thick, with outstanding print quality of up to 1440 x 1200 dpi and the energy-efficient LED curing. Meanwhile the JFX features high-precision printing at great speeds with a large production capability. 62 FLEXO april 2012 www.flexography.org Segment Specific Printing Plates Printing blanket manufacturer ContiTech is expanding its involvement in the flexo printing sector. At drupa 2012, the company is exhibiting Hall 6, Stand A-77 , where it is show- ing off the latest flexographic printing plates in the CONTI® Laserline. The company has developed a brand-new in- dustrial process for manufacturing flexo printing plates for flexible packaging as roll goods. With its four flexographic printing plates – CONTI® Laserline CSX and CSC, CONTI® Laserline CCX for direct printing on corrugated board, and the CONTI® Laserline CSL coating plate – ContiTech Elas- tomer Coatings can service the needs of a broad market. CONTI® Laserline CCX with removable cover layer spe- cifically for direct printing on corrugated board features an integrated compressible layer that helps to minimize any washboard effect on all the most commonly used corrugat- ed board types. Designed to ensure efficient production of coating formats, the coating plate is suitable for all current coating systems, including UV ink systems.
