TRAVEL / RESTAURANTS / REVIEW 12 Clairault Wines MARGARET RIVER Modern Australian Address: Henry Road, Willyabrup WA Phone: 08 9755 6655 Fax: 08 9755 6229 Email: email@example.com Web-site: www.clairaultwines.com.au Opening times: Lunch: Daily noon-3.30pm (Closed in June) Cellar Door - Daily: 10am-5pm Seats: 200 Private Rooms: 40 Outdoors: 110 Cost range: $55 (per head for 3 courses plus coffee) Restaurant rating: 14/20 REVIEW: This would be a stunning restaurant in downtown Perth let alone the middle of Margaret River: all blonde wood and black leather, with doors folding back in fne weather to give an open air view of the vineyards. The menu specialises in local produce and mostly European infuences to offer a stunningly simple menu of beautifully cooked dishes. Relax, look out over the gardens and vineyard and enjoy some of the best food in the area. Grossi Florentino MELBOURNE Italian Address: 80 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC Phone: 03 9662 1811 Fax: 03 9662 2518 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Web-site: www.grossiforentino.com.au Opening times: Lunch: Mon-Fri noon-3pm Dinner: Mon-Sat 6-11pm Seats: 262, Private Rooms: 90, Outdoors: 30 Cost range: $90 (per head for 3 courses plus coffee) Restaurant rating: 17/20 REVIEW: Grand is probably the best description of this Melbourne icon ... Florentino has been a beautiful dining room for decades, and now it has food to match. Whether in the Mural Room Restaurant (17/20) or the clubby Grill (15/20) the now strongly traditional Italian food is just terrifc; add all the napery, silverware, fne glassware and formal but attentive service and you have the full picture of fne dining Melbourne. The menu is extensive and specials often so extensive you'd wonder why they need a menu as well but it allows the use of seasonal produce of the highest quality. You pay for this quality -- especially the wine list -- but that is part of the deal, and worth the special night out. The Cellar Bar opens all day with some more relaxed dishes, cheaper ... but still fne quality. ‰ ‰
