Janita Singh A WINTER safety checklist has been issued by NSW Fair Trad- ing reminding homeowners to check household heating ap- pliances and taking extra care buying and using them. Each winter, NSW Fire Brig- ade deals with house fires, mostly caused by unattended heaters, uncleaned chimneys, electrical faults and faulty elec- tric blankets. Fair Trading Commissioner Rod Stowe said all homeowners should pay attention buying and using household heating appliances, electric blankets and hot water bottles. ''Gas and electrical ap- pliances and products can pose a significant risk to life and property, if used in dangerous settings or ways,'' he said. ''Putting heaters too close to bedding or bringing external heaters into an enclosed space has previously proved fatal for families.'' Some safety tips to follow: Do not place room heaters too close to furniture, shag pile rugs and other furnishings. Do not allow children or pets to play, stand or sit too close to heaters. Gas heaters must be certified and should be serviced every two years or in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. • 2 x Mirror doors • Wall to wall up to 2.4m wide • 1 x Single Hanging space • 1 x Draw unit (4 draws) + 3 shelving •1xShoerack • 1 x Double hanging space • 3 x mirror doors •Walltowallupto 3.6m wide Bankstown 9786 0395e Surcharge applies to Campbelltown area Wally's Wardrobe World 2173633i hlc wk49 up to 2.4m wide up to 3.6m wide 2.4m high 2.4m high $570 inc GST $870 inc GST Mighty Kitchens & Bathrooms (OMEDALE 2OAD "!.+34/7. 0H 97961500 &AX WWW MIGHTYKITCHENS COM AU Z -ODERN $ESIGNS IN4ODAYkS (OME Z +ITCHENS "ATHROOMS Z &REE -EASURE AND 1UOTE Z 6ISIT /UR 3HOWROOM 2185257 7/2 MD Regular MD Budget MD Luxury FROM $399 !". 48 HOUR TURN AROUND 2096420 24/4 0 3HOWER 3CREENS &RAMED 3EMI &RAMELESS AND &RAMELESS AVAILABLE Manufactured by Homeclad Call 1800 658 088 WWW HOMECLAD COM AU Special Discount when you quote code 'NewsLocal' 80 Gibson Ave, PADSTOW 2061223 29/5 ALL AREAS 9838 9090 FREE MEASURE & QUOTE Lifetime Warranty www.justforyouwardrobes.com.au DESIGNED TO SUIT YOUR BUDGET Timber Coloured panel Painted Mirrored Sliding p Hinged Built-inWardrobe SPECIALISTS JUST FOR YOU WARDROBES PTY.LTD Y Lic. 185684C 2174088K wk5 Sheds for Rural -- Domestic -- Industrial Capital Steel Buildings -- South West Unit 2/14 Porrende St, Narellan Visit our Showroom -- Open 6 Days PHONE 4647 1055 "Built on Service" Lic 219016c Full Custom Designs www.csbsouthwest.com.au www.shedsafe.com.au (see who is accredited by the ASI in your area) All prices listed above include gst and 1 or 2 roller doors as applicable -- shed engineering currently reg.A.
