SWG Establishes Expert Reviewer Panel By Gary Hilliard Flexo Quality Consortium's (FQC) Standards Working Group (SWG) hosted a FUZE Demo Meeting on line, on July 27, 2012. The purpose was to introduce the new standards review meeting format and the SWG members to the new Standards Expert Reviewer Panel. The Standards Expert Reviewer Panel was assembled from the FQC sign-up campaign, offered online at the FTA web site, and during the 2012 Forum in San Antonio, TX. During the sign-up, 21 participants indicated the standards catego- ries they were proficient in, and would be willing to participate in for the review of industry standards. The meeting sum- marized the purpose and goals of the SWG in the review of standards, and outlined the steps that would be taken to provide reviews, comments, and suggestions on standards developments from the new panel. Once a standards review is deemed necessary, the SWG will distribute the standards data to the panel for review. A FUZE meeting will then be held for comments and suggestions from the panel. After the completion of the review, the SWG pri- mary standards review team will make its recommendations, or provide a vote to the appropriate standards organization. The SWG is excited to have these additional industry volun- teers for this important, ongoing project! If you are an industry expert, and are interested in the review of relevant industry standards, please visit the home page of the FTA web site at www.flexography.org and click on the "Join the FQC" icon.
