FLEXO Magazine : February 2013
It’s memorable. People made early commitments to be here. The time is right. The industry is evolv- ing. Innovation is in demand. Technol- ogy continues to advance. Every printer/ converter prides his or herself on being a savvy entrepreneur and INFO*FLEX is the one event designed to help them secure a true competitive advantage. INFO*FLEX 2013 is a choice location that will attract a significant number of inter- national attendees. Proximity to Central and South America guarantees it. FLEXO: Looking at the list of exhibitors, can you identify definitive trend lines? For example: Are nearly all flexograph- ic press manufacturers represented on the floor? What seems to be their com- mon message for attendees? KAIBLE: Every major press manufac- turer will be on site in San Diego—from Bobst to Comexi, DCM Usimeca, Flexo- tecnica, Gallus, KYMC, Mark Andy, MPS, Nilpeter and Omet; to PCMC, Retroflex, Uteco and Windmoeller and Hoelscher. INFO*FLEX has wide web, narrow web, mid web, corrugated, carton board, envelope and other presses covered. And of course, with the advent of digital, the floor showcases complementary technologies from Agfa/ Pitman, Allen Datagraph, Domino Amjet, EFI, Epson America, Kodak, MCS, Mimaki, OCE, Oki Data, Roland DGA and Xeikon, etc. etc. The common message: “We can help make you a better printer.” FLEXO: Address the same question from the perspective of plate manu- facturers, anilox roll makers, prepress service providers and any other major elements/business segments that you’d like to comment on? KAIBLE: The message is the same. “ We can help make you a better printer. ” It should be. That, in essence is the foun- dation that FTA, its Annual Forum, and its INFO*FLEX Exhibition is built on. All the key players are here. Take anilox roll manufacturers for ex- ample. This April you’ll find Apex, CTS, Harper, Pamarco, Praxair and others on site. The same is true for plates and platemakers. Ask DuPont, Agfa, Asahi, ContiTech, Flint Flexographic Products, Esko, Kodak, MacDermid, Toyobo, etc. I promise you they ’ll all be there to answer your questions and help you to identify the right solutions for your business. Prepress trade shops also turn out in force—Carey Color, Container Graph- ics, Dixie Graphics, Flexografix, OEC Graphics, Cyber Graphics, Matthews Brand Solutions, Phototype, Schawk, Splash Graphics... FLEXO: How will INFO*FLEX comple- ment Forum 2013 and reinforce Forum’s theme, “Right Here, Right Now?” KAIBLE: You have to be there—Right Here and Right Now.
