FLEXO Magazine : February 2013
anybody will be. Ideas put forth in edu- cational sessions can be followed up on the trade show floor. This is a can't-miss event. Information on capital equip- ment, sustainability, digital printing, au- tomated workflows, fine line anilox rolls, new plate screening technologies---ev- erything you'll hear about at Forum, will be available at INFO*FLEX. Let the networking begin! It's a true ca- reer opportunity---one that is repeated on an annual basis. This year, we mark a major milestone--- FTA turns 55! In recognition of the an- niversary, we will be hosting a Monday evening networking event, set for 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. On Tuesday, we will be awarding a total of $5,500 in prize money---some $1,375 per hour. You have to be present to win. It helps us to ensure peak traffic is maintained. FLEXO: What do you expect to be the major takeaways from INFO*FLEX 2013? KAIBLE: For two days, the INFO*FLEX Exhibition will host the largest gathering of packaging, printing, and converting professionals in North America. You, and every other attendee, will find ev- erything related to the package printing industry. You will be afforded the unique opportunity to witness first-hand dem- onstrations of the latest equipment and technologies that will help propel your company into the next decade. Totally immerse yourself in flexo as you examine products and services, attend one of the many presentations right on the show floor in the INFO*FLEX Solu- tions Theater, or just network and walk the aisles...you will be surrounded by all the products, services and knowl- edge that you can take back to the office and implement immediately. FLEXO: How will this year 's event and attendee experience impact on plan- ning for 2014 in Baltimore? KAIBLE: Take homes from 2013 will serve as travel orders for 2014. INFO*FLEX is known for that reputation. It's why people come back year-after-year and it's why some 70 percent of booth space is re- served on site prior to the show 's close. It happens every year---the percentage of committed booth space just gets larger with each passing year. Baltimore, being a major port on the East Coast, is a major airline hub, and like San Diego, it offers easy access and a host of city-wide activities, many centered in our Inner Harbor location. The venue was made for INFO*FLEX. I expect it to draw heavy traffic. People are already talking about INFO*FLEX 2014---in fact, many are eagerly await- ing its debut. We're still more than one full year out from ribbon cutting. Exhibitors are clamoring for positioning and printers/ converters have blocked out the time window (April 27-30) on their calen- dars. Almost everyone going to Forum/ INFO*FLEX 2013 will be there. You should too. www.flexography.org FEBRUARY 2013 FLEXO 23 In an ever-changing world, it's keep up or be left behind.
