J ---...... As the industry readies itself for the upcoming FIRST 0, a new host of printer/converter members are offering leir services for flexo-printed samples to be included with Ule printed book. The Excelsior Packaging Group will once again produce a poly shipper bag, in which the actual book will mail. A corrugated easel carton will be printed at Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., Latta, Sc. International Paper has agreed to cre- ate the front and back covers. A sample envelope is slated for production at National Envelope, Exton, PA, which will contain the CD-ROM version of the book. The CD label will be printed at Clemson University, Clemson, sc. A second set of sample labels is also planned, cour- tesy of California Polytechnic State University, San Louis Obispo, CA. In addition, Chattanooga Time Free Press will once again of- fer a sample newsprint piece. Lastly, Flexi Printing "l)late, Moonachie, NJ, has agreed to print the actual )ook itself. Design work on FIRST 4.0 is also being ionated by R.R. Donnelly in Menasha, WI. N CELEBRATION With the Golden Jubilee of FTA imminently upon IS, a team of member volunteers were recruited to :reate a slew of products bearing the revamped 50th \nniversary logo.
