publisher’s ink Satisfaction Survey Fact: 78 percent of Flexographic Technical Association 2013 Forum attendees surveyed, picked up a copy of FLEXO’s comprehensive Excellence in Flexography Awards recap—the May issue—on site in San Diego. Fact: 81 percent of those same attendees found FLEXO’s April Official INFO*FLEX Exhibit Guide to be a “ valuable navigational tool.” Fact: Some 180,000 people accessed FLEXO’s April 2013 Internet Edition within the first 30 days of initial distribution. Fact: FLEXO’s May Internet edition experienced even better viewership patterns with 183,683 visits recorded. Peak traffic occurred during Forum, specifically in the time period between April 29-May 1. Ranking #1 on the listing of points of origin, in both April and May—San Diego, CA. Fact: For the past 12 months, viewership of FLEXO’s Internet Edition has exceeded 1.5 million single visits, averaging out to 129,861, with May 2013 leading the field. Also experiencing significant traffic: April 2013, at 180,026; July 2012, at 146,950 and June 2012, at 125,719. Obviously, it does every member of our staff ’s heart good to see those numbers and to learn of reader reaction to the material and the magazine put out. Clearly, and by intent, we’ve established a connection with our readers. We stand com- mitted to offering our pages to FTA members as a vehicle for communicating and networking with each other, as they collectively embrace the goal of continuously improving the flexo print process and its performance. Lets look at some other numbers that speak to the value equation that members assign to FTA and specifically its Annual Forum and INFO*FLEX Exhibition, They come from the 2013 Forum INFO*FLEX Attendee Survey—as does a good portion of the data relevant to FLEXO Magazine. Specifically: • 88 percent of Forum / INFO*FLEX attendees participating in the poll, rated the event as “good or better;” 37 percent labeled it “excellent • 85 percent of those surveyed had been to multiple Forums; the vast majority having attended 10+ • 15 percent were first-time attendees, with nearly all saying they planned to return • 65 percent rated the exhibit (INFO*FLEX) “ very valuable” • 75 percent met potential new business partners • 75 percent identified new solutions • 7 percent placed orders Exhibitors cited similar experiences: • 86 percent rated INFO*FLEX “good” or “excellent” • 89 percent met new business prospects • 98 percent connected with existing customers • 12 percent wrote orders on site • Collectively these exhibitors contracted for just over 70 percent of available booth space for INFO*FLEX 2014, set for The Baltimore Convention Center, April 28-29 As you read through this issue, you’ll undoubtedly identify with the experiences reported and reinforce your appreciation for, and commitment to your chosen field. All in all, statistics like these are great indicators. Not only do they document success, they point to its critical foundation; namely—the right programs, the right priorities and true potential.
