Scott Fisher Named President, Smyth Companies ST PAUL, MN—Smyth Companies, LLC, announced the appointment of Scott Fisher to the role of president, effective June 17, 2013. Scott reports to John Hickey, CEO. “Scott has over 32 years of experience in the packaging industry and brings a broad understanding of all opera- tional and sales aspects of the business,” said Hickey.“ We believe that Scott’s extensive background in operations, sales and innovations, along with his M&A experience will have a significant impact on our growth strategy. His duties will include responsibility for all Smyth’s sales, manufactur- ing sites and future acquisitions. ” Fisher previously worked for Smyth from 1990 thru 1997. Prior to rejoining Smyth Companies as president, Scott was COO of WS Packaging Group, a $425 million packaging company with 18 locations and over 1,800 employees located across the U.S. and Mexico. Scott was instrumental in integrating more than 10 acquisitions during his 12 years with WS Packaging leveraging synergies, developing leading edge technology and deploying sustainable competitive solutions that differentiated the WS Packaging Brand. Since 1877, Smyth Companies, headquartered in St. Paul, MN, has been providing quality package labels and superior service to some of the most recognized consumer product brands in the world. Paul Lancelle Joins All Printing Resource’s Technical Solutions Team GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL–All Printing Resources, Inc. (APR) announced the hiring of a 37-year printing industry professional. Paul Lancelle is joining APR’s Technical Solutions team, bringing with him a wealth of experience, includ- ing over 20 years working with flexo prepress and plate applica- tions. “ Paul is an outstanding addition to our team,” says Dave Nieman, APR CEO. “ The deep experience he has with all aspects of platemaking and pressroom operations add another layer of expertise that will really benefit our customers. ” Paul has been in the printing industry since 1976, and his previ- ous position at Eastman Kodak makes him uniquely qualified to help flexo printers maximize productivity and quality for flexographic digital and analog photopolymer plate systems. He brings years of experience in help- ing customer in every major area, from installation support to train- ing to troubleshooting. “ I’m very excited about the op- portunity to join what’s already con- sidered to be a very strong techni- cal team in the industry,” says Paul. “ I think my broad experience can help bring even more comprehen- sive solutions to APR customers. My priority will be to help flexo customers improve profitability by increased productivity and ef- ficiencies.” Paul will be based in the Midwest, but will service APR customers nationwide.
