Omet S.r.L. – Stand 6H90 Labelexpo Europe 2013 will see Omet announce interesting technological news for the label and packaging sectors with a presentation of the XFlex X6 with a mix of flexo and offset technology, the return of the XFlex X4 and news regarding the company ’s tailored offerings to flexible packaging converters. rOtOfLex – Stand 5C10 With a variety of models and configurations, Rotoflex will demonstrate a full set of offline finishing solutions to enhance finishing workflow at Labelexpo Europe. Leading the way is the Rotoflex VLI, debuting for the first time in Europe. The VLI is a fully redesigned, highly precise film and packaging rewinder available in widths up to 28-in. The unit has been configured to provide more advanced, tension-specific applications and higher speed production, featuring a large easy-access touch screen display as well as auxiliary controls. The VLI also features the latest URC 2.0 control system, boasting an easy-to-use operator interface that delivers unmatched defect detection and automatic sen- sor calibration, all which significantly increase product quality and workflow productivity. The VLI also includes eDrive, a Rotoflex exclusive web handling system, which provides faster acceleration and deceleration with maximum control and runs high-quality production at speeds up to 950 fpm. Rotoflex’s showcase will also include the DSI 330. This 13- in. machine will be demonstrating cost-effective die cutting, showcasing a profitable workflow for blank labeling as well as other diecut applications. The machine will be die cutting a pressure-sensitive material at speeds up to 750 fpm through- out show days. SCHOber teCHnOLOgieS gmbH – Stand 11r70 Schober will feature rotary die cutting technology espe- cially designed for converting of digitally printed film and foil, laminates, coated paper laminates and composite materi- als. The Spider high-speed programmable robotic stacking and counting system combines acceleration, velocity and precision at speeds of up to 50 meters per minute (164 fpm)— allowing stacking of various types of products within the same print image.
