Fine Line Graphics opens New Facilities SMITHFIELD, RI—Fine Line Graph- ics Inc., a leading provider of pre-media solutions for the packaging industry, announced that it has opened two new facilities in North America to better meet the needs of high customer demand. Operations in Lenexa, KS were initi- ated by a desire to expand the firm’s reach beyond the midwest. The new facility houses the Kodak NX Wide Format Plate System, as well as Esko’s HD Flexo / MacDermid Lux Flat Top Dot solution. It is the company’s third man- ufacturing facility in the United States. Fine Line’s other facilities include the recently expanded Rochester, NY facility with full Esko integration, as well as cor- porate headquarters in Smithfield, RI. Fine Line Graphics has also recently opened a pre-production facility in Mississauga, ON, Canada. This on-site facility resides at a global brand owner. cyber Graphics enters binding Agreement to buy Flex Pre-Press MEMPHIS, TN—Cyber Graphics, LLC, a leading pre-media provider to the flexographic industry, has entered a binding agreement to acquire Flex Pre-Press, Inc., a graphic arts and me- dia provider located in Milwaukee, WI. Integration of both companies will take place over the next six months. Flex Pre- Press will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Cyber Graphics, initially under the name, “FLEX a Division of Cyber Graphics.” Terry Young, director of business for Cyber Graphics, stated, “The addition of Flex Pre-Press to the Cyber family will provide a major benefit to both existing and future customers. In today’s com- petitive market, many organizations are faced with the never-ending challenge to continually improve services. Cyber Graphics can now facilitate this need with Flex Pre-Press customers by offer- ing a greater range of solutions.” Core competencies for Cyber Graph- ics include its CyberXtend process for producing expanded gamut separa- tions, design, photography, physical and digital mock-ups, color manage- ment, production of both flat and in- the-round photopolymer media, flat top dots, high resolution imaging and laser engraving. “We bring a level of expertise and experience that will complement and enhance the services offered by Flex Pre-Press,”said Young. “The partnership will bolster the existing strengths of Flex Pre-Press, expand the market share of Cyber Graphics, and provide greater efficiencies to both organizations.” 10 FLeXo OCTOBER 2013 www.flexography.org Change your thinking.
