FQC The Flexo Quality Consortium (FQC), as described by FTA, serves to “investigate selected printing variables in order to further develop reproducible process concepts that will allow for measurable advancements in flexographic printing technology,” a noble pursuit of industry wide improvements. At FQC’s Forum session, titled “Refining The Flexo Process,” attendees will hear updates to ongoing projects and a pair of presentations. “T he FQC session at Forum is an opportunity for the mem- bership to hear about FQC project design and final results based on research data,” said co chairs Jean Engelke, Kodak and Jean Jackson, Praxair Surface Technologies. “ T hese results are used to make recommendations to standards committees and FIRST, shaping the technological capabilities of our industry.” This year ’s FQC session will feature results from the Anilox Gauge R&R and Expanded Gamut II projects.
