Daetwyler Expands Cleaning Equipment Team HUNTERSVILLE, NC—Daetwyler Corp. has experienced continuous growth and recently expanded its cleaning equipment group. John Faulkner has joined the team as cleaning equipment sales engineer and Shawn Tiikkala has assumed the position of cleaning equipment prod- uct manager. John will be handling all sales pertain- ing to Daetwyler’s cleaning equipment in the Americas and Shawn is responsible for the technical service/ support as well as spare parts sales. “John is a great fit for Daetwyler with better than 35 years experience in the coatings industry, all involved in indus- trial applications,” said Marty Cansler, national sales manager. “ His focus at Daetwyler will be furthering our pres- ence within the printing and coatings industry for cleaning equipment tech- nologies while managing the various aspects of technical sales. “Shawn began with us as an appren- tice in 2006 and received his journey- man’s welder/fabricator certificate in 2010,” added Cansler. “In addition to his service responsibilities, Shawn has now taken on the role of product manager to train customers as well as providing on site service for situations that the customer is unable to repair themselves. ” Nilpeter Shows Off Smart Inline Box Solution MIAMI, FL—Nilpeter demonstrated its successful FB-3300S smart inline box solution, providing roll to finished prod- uct in one working process, at a recent trade show. The FB-3300S has front side printing, substrate turning, reverse side printing, curing and die cutting. At Graphics of the Americas 2014, the FB-3300S produced 220-g. carton boxes with four process colors and two spot colors, all flexo. However, the high quali- ty had printers making inquiries to which of the spot colors was flexo, finding the printed samples of offset quality. ”It was very inspiring to meet so many North and South American converters seeking new business opportunities,” said Jesper Joergensen, Nilpeter ’s global sales manager.
