Yazoo Mills Invests $4 Million Into Manufacturing Operations NEW OXFORD, PA—Yazoo Mills has invested more than $4 million dollars into essential projects, plant infrastructure upgrades and additional pro- duction capacity. A new 45,000 sq. ft. distribution center was recently built in Hanover, PA, giving Yazoo Mills a total of 195,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and distri- bution space for its product lines. With the infra- structure upgrades and remodeling, Yazoo was able to generate 20 local jobs and now employs more than 100 individuals. A team of managers worked together to rede- sign and reengineer the existing production lines to improve efficiency and ergonomics throughout the company. Other projects that have since been completed are the additions of new printing capa- bilities, new packaging line equipment, innovative adhesive storage and distribution systems, ERP systems and upgrades to energy efficient light- ing throughout the plant. The construction of an employee training center and 10 new office spaces was also incorporated in the list of remodels. C-P Flexible Packaging Boosts Capacity With Expanded Facility YORK, PA—C -P Flexible Packaging has expanded one of its York facil- ities with the addition of a new 42,000 sq. ft. distribution warehouse. “As a major supplier of flexible packaging to the snack, baked goods and confection markets, this addition gives us the room to expand services and enhance supply chain management,” said Tony Vaudo, C -P Flexible Packaging’s president and CEO. “ It also helps free up much needed floor space in our primary facility, allowing us to increase the capacity and capability of our converting operations as we continue to grow.” C-P has two manufacturing locations in York with a total of 177,000 sq. ft. of operational space. 20 FLEXO APRIL 2014 www.flexography.org MEMBERS & MANEUVERS
