KBA Selects Two New Sales Representatives for Flexotecnica DALLAS, TX—KBA North America is bolstering its sales force for its new subsidiary, KBA-Flexotecnica, with the announcement that Ed- ward (Ned) Walsh and Mark Duke have been appointed to represent the Flexotecnica line of central impression (CI) flexo presses for the wide web flexible packaging market. Walsh recently held the position of national sales manager for grafikAmerica, a York, PA based firm specializing in pressroom systems for flexographic, rotogravure and offset printing. In this position Walsh developed a deep knowledge and experience in all aspects of the flexography industry. Duke, an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, has an impressive record in sales and management. He brings to his position a strong manufacturing background, with expertise in packaging printing, having built significant success at several leading companies. Harper Welcomes Shawn Oetjen as Midwest Technical Graphic Advisor CHARLOTTE, NC—Harper Corporation of America is excited to welcome Shawn Oetjen as the newest member of its team. He joins Harper as a member of the Harper Graph- icSolutions Division and will serve as the Midwest technical graphics advisor. Oetjen brings with him a wealth of knowl- edge and experience from working in various capacities within the flexographic industry. He has held different positions in the production and sales environ- ment for both the narrow and wide web industries. In addition, he was a driving force in the flexographic program at Dunwoody Col- lege, where he served as the senior flexographic instructor. He earned his Associate of Applied Science in graphics and printing technologies from Dunwoody College in Minneapolis, MN, as well as his Bachelor of Science in graphic communications from Clemson University in Clemson, SC. Brent Hoxsey, Mark Beaven Join Dixie Graphics NASHVILLE, TN—Dixie Graphics Inc. recently announced the additions of Brent Hoxsey and Mark Beaven to its team in the role of strategic brand consultants. Hoxsey and Beaven will focus on provid- ing CPGs with premedia and packaging solutions that differentiate from traditional industry models. Provident Appoints Andy Gillis as General Manager BRYAN, OH—Drew Elisius, vice presi- dent of operations for Anderson & Vree- land, Inc., announced the appointment of Andrew Gillis as general manager for Provident LLC, a wholly owned subsidi- ary of Anderson & Vreeland, Inc. In his new position, Gillis will be responsible for all sales, manufacturing, customer service, purchasing, warehous- ing, technical service and support for a comprehensive selection of doctor blades and end seals, including additional products, talent and technology resulting from Provident’s acquisition of Custom Flex, a manufacturer and distributor of doctor blades and end seals.
